Who are Community First Responders
Community First Responders are volunteers in the community who have been trained by their ambulance service to respond to emergency calls. As a responder lives in the local community they are able to arrive at the scene prior to the arrival of the ambulance, and help stabilise the casualty, and where necessary provide essential treatment. You can fit your volunteer hours around your current commitments by simply logging on and off duty via a text message to the call centre.
